Originally from Northern Ireland, Danielle moved to England when she was accepted onto the Dental Hygiene and Therapy course at the University of Liverpool. Prior to this she started her career in the dental profession in 2012, working as a dental nurse for four years. However, Danielle soon realised she wanted to progress within the dental profession and challenge herself more. During her time on the course, she worked as a dental nurse for Bax Dental, working closely with hygienist Kate Reading, learning and gaining further knowledge and skills. Danielle qualified in 2017 and became a dental hygiene therapist at Bax Dental.
As a dental hygiene therapist, Danielle carries out a variety of treatments including dental fillings, general cleaning and periodontal treatment, tooth whitening, children's extractions and oral hygiene instructions. She is passionate about her job and enjoys treating patients, making their experience as relaxed and comfortable as possible. She enjoys getting to know her patients, building a good relationship with them and making them smile.
In her spare time, Danielle enjoys keeping fit, socialising and setting herself a challenge. She completed the Dublin Marathon last year and hopes to keep pushing herself further. She hopes to start facial aesthetics later on in the year, along with other courses to keep her knowledge and skills up to date and to a high standard; therefore, achieving best quality of care for her patients.
